How Much Do Braces Cost?
Welcome to the Friday Focus brought to you by iSmiles Orthodontics, your go to Irvine Orthodontist.
In this week’s Friday Focus we’re going to ask one of the most important questions, probably the one you ask about the most. That question is “How much does it cost to go to the orthodontist?
This is a great question that really has two parts. First, when you’re considering going to an orthodontist for an exam or consultation to discover whether you need braces or Invisalign, the cost should be nothing – it should be complimentary. Any good orthodontist will offer a complimentary consultation, complete with x-rays, dental history, photos and a 1 on 1 consultation. This is something we offer here at iSmiles Orthodontics.
In our complimentary examination, we’re going to assess whether you need braces or not. If we decide that you need braces, then you’re looking at an investment somewhere between $3000 to $7000, depending on the type of treatment we do, the length of treatment and the orthodontic issues that are being treated.
At first glance, orthodontic treatment may seem like an expensive investment, however, if you consider everything that goes into treatment and the amount of expertise and time involved to create a beautiful smile, it’s really an important investment in your child’s or your future. In actuality, orthodontic care can end up saving you money in the long run. The missing or crooked teeth, or an irregular bite that causes people to need braces can lead to tooth decay or even or loss of teeth if left untreated. Anyone who has been to the dentist with these types of issues knows how expensive the visits can be for tooth decay, periodontal treatment, extractions, implants, etc. Chronic oral problems that are left untreated can also lead to more significant health issues like heart disease, diabetes, obesity and malnutrition. These are serious health conditions that affect quality of life, something you can’t put a price on.
If you’d like to discover whether you need braces or not and the expected cost of your treatment, just contact us and we’ll give you a complimentary consultation.
