iSmiles welcomes new owner to the team.
Last month, iSmiles welcomed Dr. O El-Hillal (Dr. O to his patients) as a owner.
It’s a great match when it comes to experience, professionalism, and the TLC approach iSmiles patients have enjoyed for so many years. One visit to this progressive office and you’ll see why iSmiles captured a 2017 “People Love Us on Yelp” award, and why Dr. O has developed a significant internet following for his informative (and often funny) blogs and “Friday Focus” YouTube videos that answers the most frequently asked patient questions about orthodontic services.
Dr. O is a founding owner of E&S Orthodontics, a successful, full-service orthodontic practice that has been serving patients in Phoenix/Peoria, Tolleson and Chandler, AZ since 2004. His love of the outdoors and travel brought him to California, and developing new ties to iSmiles Orthodontics. He simply loves the Irvine area and all it has to offer.
What sets Dr. O apart is his insistence on always reaching for the next level of perfection. He has been published in numerous professional journals and held several leadership roles, including Chief Resident while receiving his training. From day one, he also developed a clear vision of creating an orthodontics practice that would be different, based on the latest research and technologies and a “face-driven, no-extraction” treatment philosophy.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, MBA, Master in Oral Biology, and Orthodontic Specialty degree from the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University – a center of excellence in dental education, patient care, research and community-based services in Philadelphia.
He’s adamant about staying up-to-date in terms of research and treatment technologies, to become a leading provider of the innovative Damon® self-ligating bracket system, Invisalign® and InvisalignTeen®.
Dr. O will be introducing the Damon system to Smiles’ roster of treatments as an effective option for patients looking for an alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets, Damon braces use a slide mechanism that attaches wires to brackets to move naturally with the teeth as they realign. This makes them more comfortable, better looking, and able to provide strong results in a shorter time (as much as 7.2 months earlier than those with traditional braces. Other benefits include less in-office maintenance, less friction and pressure on the teeth, and fewer places for plaque and bacteria to accumulate. Another plus – most dental insurance plans and FSA’s can be allocated to treatment with Damon braces.
